Breaking the Silence on Racism

Rev. Brenda Girton-Mitchell (Grace and Race Ministries, Inc.) and Alexei Laushkin (Kingdom Missionary Society) presented a FACEBOOK LIVE Online Discussion entitled Breaking the Silence on Racism on January 24, 2018.

The discussion introduced MLK Bridges, a program to commemorate the 50thAnniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by engaging 50 houses of worship, faith-based and other civic organizations to work together as bridge builders for racial understanding and action.

Rev. Brenda Girton-Mitchell is the founder of Grace and Race Ministries, Inc. During the Obama administration she was the Director of the Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships Center at the U.S. Department of Education.

Alexei Laushkin is the Executive director of Kingdom Missionary Society. Previously he spent ten years doing advocacy at the Evangelical Environmental Network.
